ACQUISITION

One of the main objectives of Badr El Jundi Foundation is to continue acquiring artworks by emerging artists, thereby contributing to the development and visibility of their artistic careers. Through these acquisitions, the foundation reinforces its commitment to supporting contemporary creation and actively accompanying new generations of artists.

On the occasion of the CerARTmic art fair, the foundation presented an award to artist Javier Bravo de Rueda, represented by Jorge López Gallery in Valencia.

Javier Bravo de Rueda’s sculptural practice explores a synthesis between the symbolic and the material, the ancestral and the contemporary. Through a critical lens on archaeological heritage and enduring Latin American traditions, his works in iron and ceramic construct a personal mythology shaped by totemic forms and fragmented narratives.

Born in Lima in 1989, he lives and works in Madrid. He has exhibited at Abierto València and ARCO, and was recently awarded a grant by Fundación Botín.
